Why is a pilot priced above the Business subscription?

They're different things. The Business plan is a software subscription on shared SaaS. A pilot is a program: platform access plus solution configuration plus dedicated engineering, with defined success criteria — and the pilot fee is credited toward your first annual subscription when you convert.

What exactly is included in the AI-in-a-Box subscription?

Everything: the NVIDIA appliance itself, the Understand AI platform, the apps catalog and Understand Studio, maintenance, updates, and support — plus a hardware warranty with a replacement unit shipped within 5 business days.

Can we purchase the appliance outright instead of subscribing?

The subscription is designed to be the better deal for most buyers: it includes the appliance, a replacement unit within 5 business days, hardware refresh over the life of the contract, a single contract to manage, and predictable OpEx budgeting instead of a capital line. We do not sell hardware outright. If you do not renew, the appliance is returned to us.

What's the difference between AI-in-a-Box and running the platform in our own cloud?

AI-in-a-Box runs on your premises on hardware we supply and warrant — the subscription includes the compute. Private Cloud runs in your own AWS, Azure, or GCP account: you carry the infrastructure, we deliver and operate the platform in it. Private Cloud deployments are scoped under the Enterprise plan.

Do subscriptions include integrations or custom app development?

No. Subscriptions cover the platform. Integrations and custom apps are delivered through Tailored App Services and quoted per scope.

What happens after a Proof-of-Value pilot?

You'll have a working deployment against agreed success criteria, and your pilot fee is credited toward your first annual subscription on any plan. The credit is confirmed in your quote.
