Each app is a production-ready, purpose-built AI application focused on a high-value workflow (e.g. generating test cases, drafting a Common Criteria Security Target, answering questions on technical standards). Apps run on the Understand Tech Platform and inherit its data sovereignty, governance and deployment options. You can use them as-is, rebrand them, or fork them into your own version.

How quickly can we deploy an app for our team?

Accepted Answer

Most apps can be provisioned and connected to your data sources within a few days. SaaS deployments are typically live in hours; private cloud and air-gapped deployments depend on your infrastructure but are designed to be turnkey.

Can the apps work on our internal documents and data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every app supports your own knowledge sources, documents, SharePoint, Confluence, Git repositories, databases, web sources and more, via 13+ native connectors. Your content stays within your tenant.

Accepted Answer

Yes. The On-Premise plan supports fully air-gapped deployments on your own infrastructure, including bring-your-own LLM. This is the setup used by customers with strict data residency, classified or export-controlled environments.

Which LLMs do the apps use? Can we bring our own?

Accepted Answer

Apps support multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Google, DeepSeek, xAI, Perplexity and Understand AI). On Enterprise and On-Premise plans you can bring your own model, including self-hosted open-source models.

Yes. Apps can be rebranded (logo, colors, domain), restricted to specific user groups, and exposed as fully isolated portals per customer or business unit, each with its own authentication, data scope and access rules.

Where is our data stored, and is it used to train models?

Accepted Answer

Your data stays in your chosen deployment, SaaS (EU by default), your private cloud, or fully air-gapped on your own infrastructure. Your data is never used to train our or any third-party foundation models.

Which security certifications do you comply with?
