A French accounting organization goes live with sovereign, on-premise AI on NVIDIA's newest platform. Every workload stays inside the client's own building.

Understand Tech announced the delivery of AI-in-a-Box on the NVIDIA GB300 Blackwell Ultra platform to CerFrance, placing the accounting organization among the first enterprises in the world to run a full on-premise AI stack on this generation of NVIDIA hardware.

The appliance is installed inside CerFrance's own network. No data leaves the building. No outbound calls. No cloud dependency. Every model call, every document, every prompt runs on infrastructure the customer owns.

    Why GB300, and why now

The GB300 gives regulated industries something they could not get before: cloud-class generative AI performance without the cloud. For an accounting organization handling tax records, payroll data, and client files across a national network of member firms, that combination changes the math on what can be deployed, and where.

CerFrance chose AI-in-a-Box for the same reason other regulated customers do: sensitive client data cannot be sent to public AI services, and the productivity gains from tailored AI applications are too large to leave on the table.

Our customers should not have to choose between AI capability and data control. GB300 lets us stop asking them to. They get the newest generation of NVIDIA silicon, inside their own walls, running our full stack. That is the deployment model regulated enterprises have been waiting for, and CerFrance is showing what it looks like in production.

What CerFrance runs on the appliance

CerFrance's teams use AI-in-a-Box for the workflows accounting firms actually run day to day: working with client documents, extracting figures from unstructured records, drafting responses, and surfacing answers from internal knowledge. The appliance ships with bundled applications for regulated industries, including Multi-LLM Portals, Assistants, and Chat with CSV.

CerFrance also extends the stack with its own applications built in Understand Studio, the no-code App Builder. New use cases do not require a new procurement cycle. When a team identifies a workflow that would benefit from AI, they build it themselves in Understand Studio. The application runs on the same appliance, under the same security perimeter, owned by the customer.
